Movie #12: Breeders (1986)

"Breeders" is a 1986 sci-fi/horror movie directed by Tim Kincaid and stars Teresa Farley, Lance Lewman and Frances Raines. It was remade just 11 years later in 1997.
The movie is about a whole lot of unconscious girls who begin suddenly showing up at the hospital in Manhattan. They all have 3 things in common... they are all hot, they are all virgins, and they have all been raped. The police are searching high an low to find the rapist before he strikes again.
But it's not an ordinary rapist... it is actually an alien that has crashed in Manhattan and sets up a "nest" beneath the Empire State Building. The alien goes around seeking out virgins to impregnate so that it can give birth to an alien army and take over the Earth. 
The raped women begin getting up in a trance in the hospital and make their way to the nest. A cop and a Doctor from the hospital follow the women, discover the alien and its nest and must find a way to get rid of it.

Filled with '80s hairdos, '80s style, '80s music, horrible special effects, violence, gore, bad acting, and tons of nudity... this film flops like a flounder fresh out of the water. But, that didn't stop me from enjoying this cheesefest. 

Did I mention the bad special effects? The creature looked like a guy in rubber pajamas and a homemade Halloween bug mask.
There's not a whole lot I can say about this film. It is what it is and doesn't pretend to be anything else. Watch it at your own risk. I'll be watching the remake at a later time so that I can compare the two.
