Movie #13: Starcrossed

Welcome to Sci-Fi 100!
100 Sci-Fi movies in 100 days!
"Starcrossed" is a 1985 sci-fi movie directed by Jeffrey Bloom. It stars 80s brat, James Spader, and the lovely Belinda Bauer.

I've been a fan of Belinda Bauer since the 80s TV movie "The Archer: Fugitive of the Empire," & the "Airwolf" TV pilot movie. If any of you remember the Archer movie I mentioned... (High Five!)
The film is about an alien (Bauer) who crash lands on earth.

She is being pursued by twin alien bad guys,  for a reason I don't remember.
Anyhoo... she bumps into preppy boy Spader and he finds out she is an alien and vows to protect her from her hunters and to help her fix her ship so she can go go home, all while being pursued by American government agents (in black suits and sunglasses, of course.) The movie reminded me a lot of the movie "Starman," but with gender reversal.

click the box to watch the fan-made trailer. (it's boring.)

The special effects are not that special and the movie sort of drags. Every once in a while the twin bad guys show up and shoot at the couple, but other than that the movie is pretty flat. I would suggest watching "Starman" instead.
